What is IndexNow?
IndexNow is an open protocol (documented at indexnow.org) that lets a website instantly notify search engines when a page is added, updated, or deleted. Instead of waiting for crawlers to rediscover your store, you push changes to Bing, Yandex, Naver, Seznam.cz, and Yep the moment they happen.
Does IndexNow work with Google?
No. Google has not adopted the IndexNow protocol. IndexNow covers Bing and its partners — and because Bing’s index also powers DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, ChatGPT search, and Microsoft Copilot, one ping reaches far more than Bing itself.
Why is my Shopify store not showing up on Bing?
